Le Creuset - Which Colour?

I have decided that for my birthday I want to invest in a couple of pieces of Le Creuset but I am having a major dilemma trying to choose which colour to go for.

I'm loving Caribbean colour but worry that it's too fashionable and I wont be happy with it in years to come.
I love the white! But it's ridiculously hard to find even online, and I worry I wont be able to complete my set.

I quite like the orange even though it is definitely not one of my colours. So it wont match anything I already have in my kitchen. But I like the fact that it is the original colour and I will be able to get anything I want in this colour (not that I will be buying a lot).

And I don't mind the cream, although I am definitely a white kitchen girl, and I worry that the bottom of it might be a bit too mushroomy for me.

What do you think? What colour do you like?

Be My Valentine?

It's been so long since my last post that it feels almost rude to come back here and show my face.
But I really miss my little blog and I often think about all the different things I should be sharing with you guys.
Here are some pictures of the Valentines Day party that I had for Isabella.
We invited all the girls in her new class as well as three of our neighbours.

I hope some of you are still talking to me. And I will be back real soon with another post - I promise!

Christmas Treats

We invited Isabella's whole class over for a Christmas party last week to celebrate the end of their Kindergarten year at school. We gave everyone one of these cute oreo pops. Here's the link to the tutorial if you want to make some too.

My Latest Acquisition

I picked this tea trolley up when we went camping near Huskinson Bay from a vintage dealer for $40. It was pretty shabby but after a couple of coats of paint it looks so sweet. My darling husband not only doesn't mind the pink, but de-rusted the wheels and painted them silver for me. It goes next to my sofa with magazines and wool on it - I love it!

Christmas Challenge

Last year the Christmas Challenge got a lot of people organised in time for Christmas, but I wasn't the best at posting and doing reminders etc. So I was wondering if anyone else would like to run it this year? If that sounds like you email me.

Picture Perfect Parties

So I am now working on new venture, this time children's parties. And I have my first party! It is a nine year old girls sleepover party. These owl sleeping masks are the first of many very cute things I am making for this party.

My Creative Space

Last week we went camping and of course I took my latest crochet project which is this stripy blanket for Jacques bed. He doesn't mind that it's not finished and takes any opportunity to snuggle up under it.

Superman Party

Wow it's been a long time since my last post. I have been absolutely exhausted after all the parties. This one is my sons fourth birthday party, and I also have had my older sons tenth birthday party. I made all children a mask and cape - which they won as prizes at the party.

Pretty Vintage Quilt

When I asked my niece what she wanted for her 21st birthday I wasn't expecting her to say a quilt. She asked for a quilt that was "pretty" or "vintage". I loved the idea of trying a vintage quilt.
It is made up of about 80% vintage fabric, one fabric from spotlight and some Jeniffer Paganelli fabrics. I made it big enough so that it can be folded at the end of her queen size bed.
Thank you Jennie for giving me some of the fabrics, I still owe you a parcel which I haven't forgotten about. There was no way I was going to be able to find all those vintage fabrics without a bit of help!
I was so happy with how it turned out - I think it looks both vintage and pretty!

Lalaloopsy Birthday Party

Homemade marshmallow added the blue that was needed on the table.

We made a mini bunting for the cake out of the same fabric that I made Isabella's birthday bunting from for her first birthday. The fabrics that I covered the boxes were also from her first birthday bunting.

l cleared out our shelves and used them to display Lalaloopsy posters and dolls.
Down the bottom were the loot bags for kids to fill as they went.
A little "Please Help Yourself" nook for parents to make a cup of tea.
The Lalaloopsy pets were a big hit and all the kids.

As part of Isabella's birthday traditions all the kids were given
mix and match vintage fine bone china plates.
Isabella got to blow out the candles three times, because once is never enough.
Inside the cake matched the pink, yellow and blue color scheme.
One very happy birthday girl! And for me what made it all worth the effort was at bedtime when Isabella hugged me and said "thank you for the beautiful birthday party".
